Everything You Need To Know About The 2026 Korn Ferry Tour Championship

October 1, 2026

This October, Hanover County will welcome the rising stars of professional golf for one of the region’s most anticipated golf events: the Korn Ferry Tour Championship presented by Virginia’s Richmond Region.

Over four days, talented players will compete for a trophy, career-defining points, and the opportunity to earn PGA TOUR membership. For visitors and residents of the Richmond Region, it is a chance to experience elite golf, fall in Central Virginia, and the hospitality that makes Hanover County and the Richmond Region a memorable place to visit.

Here is everything you need to know about the 2026 Korn Ferry Tour Championship:

The Korn Ferry Tour Championship is the final event of the 2026 Korn Ferry Tour season.

The Korn Ferry Tour is the PGA TOUR’s pathway for professional golfers pursuing a place on the PGA TOUR. Throughout the season, players earn points based on their performance in each tournament. The more consistently they play and the higher they finish, the more points they earn toward their overall position on the Korn Ferry Tour Points List.

By the time players arrive at The Federal Club, every shot will matter. Some players will arrive in Hanover County with their PGA TOUR cards already secured but will be competing to improve their final standing. Others will compete under intense pressure, needing a strong finish to move into the top 20 and take the next step in their professional careers.

At the conclusion of the Championship, the top 20 players in the final season-long Korn Ferry Tour Points List will earn PGA TOUR membership for the 2027 season.

Tournament week is October 5–11, 2026.

Competition is scheduled for Thursday, October 8, through Sunday, October 11.

The tournament will be held at The Federal Club on the Hanover County side of Glen Allen.

The Federal Club is a private, 18-hole golf course designed by Arnold Palmer. The par-72 course is known for its scenic and challenging layout.

While the final field will be set closer to tournament week, several players have already made a strong impression during the 2026 season and will be exciting names to follow at the Korn Ferry Tour Championship.

Doc Redman

Doc Redman became the first player in 2026 to secure PGA Tour membership for 2027. He earned that distinction after recording two Korn Ferry Tour victories during the season.

Blades Brown

At just 19 years old, Blades Brown is chasing the chance to become the youngest Korn Ferry Tour graduate in history. Brown is a strong position to win PGA Tour membership.

Hunter Eichhorn

One of the most consistent players on the Korn Ferry Tour this season, Hunter Eichhorn has been a regular presence near the top of leaderboards. He led the Korn Ferry Tour with eight top-10 finishes.

Yuta Sugiura

Yuta Sugiura secured his first Korn Ferry Tour win in a clutch victory, becoming the third player from Japan to ever win on the Korn Ferry Tour. His placement on the Points List has him around the top 20, making him a name to watch during the tournament.

Davis Lamb

A Virginia resident, Davis Lamb will have a home-state connection at The Federal Club as he looks to cap a breakout Korn Ferry Tour season and be a part of the PGA Tour. Davis Lamb enters the Korn Ferry Tour Championship with PGA Tour membership within reach but not secured based on his points.
