Submit Your Event

Hanover County’s events calendar highlights festivals, community gatherings, live entertainment, cultural events, and activities that are open to the public, visitor-friendly, and located in Hanover County or the Town of Ashland. We encourage organizers to submit events at least four weeks in advance to allow for adequate review and promotion.

Eligible events typically include:
· Festivals, fairs, and community celebrations
· Cultural, heritage, and historical events
· Live music, arts, and entertainment
· Outdoor and agritourism experiences
· Family-friendly and seasonal events that visitors may plan a trip around

Events should have a confirmed date, time, and location, and include accurate contact information.

· To keep the calendar relevant, inclusive, and visitor-focused, we are unable to list:
· Private, invitation-only, or members-only events
· Political rallies, campaigns, or advocacy events
· Religious services or faith-based worship gatherings
· Business promotions, sales events, job fairs, or networking meetings
· Ongoing classes, weekly meetings, or regularly scheduled practices
· Events that promote unsafe, illegal, or misleading activity
· Events located outside of Hanover County or the Town of Ashland

Hanover County Tourism is committed to maintaining a calendar that is welcoming to all. Events will not be accepted if they promote or include:
· Hate speech, discrimination, or harassment of any kind
· Content that is racist, biased, exclusionary, or harmful
· Sexually explicit or inappropriate material
· Profanity or imagery not suitable for a general audience

All event submissions are reviewed before being published. Hanover County Tourism reserves the right to edit event listings for clarity, accuracy, and consistency, or to decline submissions that do not meet these guidelines. Submission does not guarantee publication.
