The Market at Hanover Vegetable Farm

Open everyday, the market at Hanover Vegetable Farm has a wide selection of produce, meats, and homemade goods, featuring brands like Natalie’s Juice and Capital Chips. The farm also features Hanover Plant Farm and a statuary.

Thistledew Fold

Make a reservation at Thistledew Fold for guided encounters focused on Highland cattle and cuddly farm animals. Each private herd hangout session is under an hour and emphasizes small group interaction. New for 2026, they also have baby goats!

Freckled Flower Farm

Return home with photo worthy bouquets from Freckled Flower Farm. During workshops and market events, Freckled Flower Farm allows guests to pick flowers right from their garden, creating a special way to spend time outdoors.

Meadowgate Alpacas

Meadowgate Alpacas brings another perspective, with private tours that introduce guests to alpaca care along with a unique selection of products made from alpaca fiber, including clothing and home goods. They also specialize in alpaca therapy through their “Acts of Grace” program, serving assisted living facilities, veterans organizations, disability groups and nonprofits.

Hanover Tomato Festival

The Hanover Tomato Festival takes place July 10-11, 2026 and each year during the second weekend in July, and features local food, vendors, and activities that reflect the legendary crop. For 2026, the festival will have a historical spin, featuring the VA250 Mobile Museum Experience.

Sounds at Sunset Concert Series

From April to September, Hanover’s parks come alive with music! Sounds at Sunset brings live bands, great food, and good vibes to different areas of the county. It’s the perfect way to unwind and celebrate the different seasons.
