The Hanover County Courthouse Complex includes multiple historic buildings that served as the center of political and judical life in early Hanover County. These buildings include the Historic Hanover Courthouse where Patrick Henry became a succesful lawyer, the Old Stone Jail, and the Historic Clerk’s Office that is now home to the Hanover County Musuem of History and Culture. Interpretive signs line the historic green and the overall county complex is still home to county government.
