Hanover Tomato Festival

Celebrate Hanover’s most famous crop with tomato-themed dishes, a tomato eating contest, family-friendly activities, exclusive tomato merch, and live entertainment. Held the second weekend in July at Pole Green Park, this event is free to attend and is a true taste of Hanover.
History & Hops

Raise a glass to Hanover’s past at this unique event where local history and craft beverages come together. Held in late spring, History & Hops invites visitors to explore the historic Hanover County Courthouse Complex, learn from living history interpreters, and enjoy beer tastings in a relaxed, social atmosphere
Ashland Strawberry Festival

Since 1982, the Ashland Strawberry Faire has been a beloved tradition, drawing families, friends, and strawberry enthusiasts from far and wide. Grab a free trolley and visit 300+ vendors, including arts & crafts, non-profits, food, and local businesses on the gorgeous tree-lined campus of Randolph-Macon College. It’s a “berry” good time!
Green Top Outdoor Expo

The Green Top Outdoor Expo brings the outdoor lifestyle to life with hands-on experiences in hunting, fishing, and adventure sports. Guests can test new gear, watch live demos, and meet experts from across the industry. It’s a welcoming event for all ages and skill levels to learn, explore, and have fun.
PGA Korn Ferry Tour Championship

Hanover County will host the Korn Ferry Tour Championship at The Federal Club, bringing top rising golf talent to Virginia. From October 5–11, spectators can enjoy world-class competition, engaging fan experiences, and special activities throughout the week. It’s a must-see event for golf enthusiasts and families looking to experience the excitement of professional golf up close.
Winter on the Green

Discover the magic of the holidays at Winter on the Green, where the Hanover County Courthouse Complex transforms into a winter wonderland. Held the second weekend in December, this event features a winter marketplace, live performances, horse drawn carriage rides, and photos with Santa. It even snows!
Beverdam Brew Jam

Beaverdam Brew Jam is a laid-back, family-friendly craft beer and music festival held each fall at the Beaverdam Ruritan Park, featuring regional breweries, live bands, local food, and games under the shade of towering trees. Hosted by the Beaverdam Ruritan Club, the event blends great drinks, live entertainment, and small-town community spirit into a relaxed, “jammin’” day in western Hanover County.
Ashland Train Day

Ashland Train Day is an annual street festival in downtown Ashland that celebrates the town’s deep railroad heritage with passing freight and passenger trains, model displays, live entertainment, and family-friendly activities. The event transforms the “Center of the Universe” into a lively, walkable celebration of rail history, local businesses, and community spirit.
